Refund policy
At ShrimpORtwo, we take great care in packaging and shipping live shrimp to ensure they arrive safely and healthy. Because we ship live animals, refunds are handled under specific conditions and are closely tied to our shipping and DOA (Dead on Arrival) policies.
Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
💵Eligible Refund Situations
Refunds may be considered only under the following circumstances:
- Shrimp that are confirmed Dead on Arrival (DOA)
- Orders that meet all shipping and reporting requirements outlined below
- Situations where replacement stock is unavailable and store credit is declined
Refunds are not automatic and must be approved after review.
🦐DOA-Related Refunds
If shrimp arrive deceased:
- Clear photo or video proof must be submitted within 2 hours of first delivery attempt
- Shrimp must be shown unopened or immediately upon opening the bag
- Original shipping water and packaging must be visible
Approved DOA claims may result in:
- Partial refund for the cost of the affected shrimp only
- Store credit equal to the value of the loss (preferred option)
- Replacement shrimp if available (shipping costs may apply)

❌What Is NOT Refundable
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Delays caused by the carrier once the package is accepted
- Improper acclimation, tank conditions, or parameter mismatch
- Losses occurring after the 2-hour DOA claim window
- Orders delivered to incorrect addresses provided by the customer
- Orders marked “Delivered” by the carrier
- Weather-related stress when heat/cold packs are declined or not purchased
- Buyer’s remorse or accidental orders
📮Shipping & Carrier Responsibility
Once an order is shipped:
- Responsibility for transit time and handling transfers to the carrier
- Delays do not qualify for refunds
- Missed delivery attempts or held packages are not refundable
We strongly recommend being available on delivery day.

💳Refund Method & Timing
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method or as store credit
- Refund processing may take 5–10 business days, depending on the payment provider
- Refunds will never exceed the original purchase price of the shrimp
